We value academic integrity, collaboration, diversity, health and safety, innovation, and fiscal accountability. The Programs Abroad Office staff:
- Provides students with specialized services and resources before, during, and after the experience abroad. We guide and facilitate the processes of outreach and advising, program selection and application, course registration, budgeting and payment, pre-departure preparation, and academic credit transfer.
- Supports our faculty and advisors in their efforts to develop, promote, coordinate, and evaluate learning opportunities. Leading a study abroad program can be challenging, but faculty who do so have found it to be both professionally and personally rewarding.
- Presents resources for supporters and family on costs, financial aid, scholarship opportunities, and the application process; information on health and safety for students traveling abroad; and tips for helping their students with cultural adjustments as well as support while they are abroad.
- Extends a warm “welcome home” to study abroad returnees and alumni. We also coordinate academic and career resources as well as opportunities for study abroad participants to stay connected.
