Visitor Resources

Airport

If you are planning on flying into Knoxville, McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS) is approximately 12.5 miles (20km) from campus and the central part of Knoxville.


Transportation

Surrounding the airport are several car-rental companies like Enterprise, Hertz & Avis, etc. Additionally, Uber and Lyft have access to our airport.

Once in Knoxville, you can utilize a bus system, free trolley system, bike share and scooter services that increase sustainability and accessibility efforts. Visit https://katbus.com/ for more information.

On-Campus Parking

On-campus visitor parking is found at Volunteer Hall Garage, 1545 White Avenue.

If you are visiting Programs Abroad, we are located in The Center for Global Engagement at 1620 Melrose Avenue – roughly an 8-minute walk and approximately 0.3 miles from the Volunteer Hall Garage.

If you are attending a special event, it is likely to be held at the Student Union, located at 1502 Cumberland Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37996. This is a 4-minute walk and approximately 0.2 miles from the Volunteer Hall Garage.
